Do Black Youth Matter Conference:  Saturday Sept 19th
The Metropolitan Baptist Church’s Public Policy Ministry is spearheading a mass effort to address the pervasive issue of police misconduct through the use of excessive force by hosting a townhall meeting on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1500 9th Street NW in Washington, District of Columbia.
Our theme, ‘Do Black Youth Matter?‘, is aimed at fostering dialogue among young black youth, their parents and or guardians, as well as law enforcement so they ‘Know What to Do When Stopped by the Police‘,  Your presence will be a key component of the dissertation among several other guests, who will help audience members better understand their Constitutional Rights, life-saving behaviors that will aide them in diffusing a potentially hostile situation when either being stopped-and-frisked or car-stopped by the police.  A long-time Civil Rights Activist will provide invaluable information on the voting electorate’s civic participation in the democratic process.
