The following FAQs will help you with the scholarship application process.

Completing the Application

What is on the application?

The application contains questions about the applicant’s background including questions to determine your eligibility for the scholarship. The application also includes three mandatory essay-type questions to allow the applicant to provide additional background information about how they intend to utilize the scholarship.

Do I need to complete the application in one sitting?

No, you do not have to complete the application in one sitting. You can press the “Save ” button, copy the web address the form provides and save the address for later use. (You can email the address to yourself or create a file with it.) When you are ready to return, enter the saved address in the browser to be returned to the application with your previously saved information. Important: In order to come back to the application form, you must copy and save the URL provided when you select the “Save” button in the application form.

How can I prepare the essay?

You can prepare your essay answer in a separate document and
then copy and paste the answer in the space provided.

Can I change my answers after submitting the form?

No, once you submit the application form, you will not be able to change the information in the form. Prior to submitting the form, you will be presented an option to review the responses as a PDF document. Do not press the “Submit” button until you have completed and reviewed the application and are sure you will not make any further changes to it.

Can I obtain a copy of my application?

Prior to submitting the application form, you will be presented an option to review the responses. You can either print this page or print it as a PDF document and save this file as a record of your application.

What should I expect after completing the application process?

The Scholarship Committee expects to notify applicants of their acceptance status for the 2022-2023 academic year by June 15, 2022.

References and Letters of Recommendation

What information should I provide my references?

The applicant should provide the following information to references to ensure the letters of recommendation are received on time and are associated with the application. Email or give your references the following information:

Thank you for agreeing to provide a letter of recommendation for my application to the Riverside Baptist Church Scholarship Program. Please email your letter of recommendation by May 31, 2022 to ScholarshipCommittee@riversidedc.org. Please put in the subject line: “Letter of reference for (my name).” You can find background information on the Scholarship Program on the Church website
(riversidedc.org).

When do the letters of recommendation need to be submitted?

Like the application form, letters of recommendation must be received by email to ScholarshipCommittee@riversidedc.org by May 31, 2022.
