The Goal
To help our children understand the way of Jesus by building relationships with them, being examples for them and teaching them God’s Word through creative activities.
Our 4th Sundays Children's Corner will launch on Palm Sunday. It will be a 30-minute children's centered worship and creativity experience led by Rachelle Nelson. If you are interested in serving as a 4th Sunday volunteer (you will not be needed every month) or if you have questions about this new program, please email . Background checks are required for volunteers over 18.
Children's Program Lead
Rachelle Nelson is a native Washingtonian and educator with 30 years of experience educating
individuals from pre-k through college as a speech pathologist in DC and Maryland schools. She has a passion for art, books, storytelling and helping young people to communicate with their authentic, divine voices. She desires to create a space for young children to be their full selves in God and in community.
Age-Groups
* We are currently building out our program. While we do this, we want you to know that all children are welcome in our worship. We love having them and want them to feel comfortable with whatever way they participate.
* Children's Corner (4th Sundays) is tailored to Ages 3-8
Safety
All teachers are required to submit to a thorough background check. In addition, all teacher helpers must attend training.
